"I hae your bukes....As a wee bairn McLean first skelpit a mickle whaup his Daddie had whangit wi a stane, and then ilka beastie that came his way...."
It sounds like he is explaining his past. This McLean dude is obsessed with animals in one way or another since he was a little kid, because of his dad..or something.
Its either old english or a really thick irish accent.
it's scotch, very heavy scotch, and the guy is supposedly saying that he read someone's books and that he's been reading since he was wee little and his dad did something or the other. this is why i don't and will never live in scotland.
I hate your books. . . As a wee(little) bairn(baby or lad, if you recall Lady and the Trap, Jock says "a wee bairn" when refering to the baby, and being a scotish terrier. . . well. . .) From there I'd have to say skelpit a mickle is some form of currency or currency holder with which McLean Daddie would either hit him with or use for some sort of sexual thing (whangit) wi a stane is deffinatly refering to a stick of somesort (probably some weird sexual custom associate with the "whangit"(dang scotsmen you know)) With said sexual stick he would ilka(beat/slap) every beastie(possibly animals beastiality always enjoys a good following, but I wouldn't think it a stretch to pull beastie into meaning a woman or at least a prosititue) that came his way. And yes Kitchen children I did reference a Disney movie and beastiality in the same comment.(we all know what old Walt did in his spare time ;)
